1. Mocha Mood Swing
This bold, chocolatey cocktail will swing you into a dreamy state of bliss. Featuring Velo’s Ethiopia Awash River, with its fruity undertones, this drink is sweet, smoky, and seductive.
Ingredients:
- 30ml dark rum
- 60ml brewed Velo Ethiopia Awash River
- 15ml coffee liqueur
- 10ml simple syrup
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- Ice
Instructions:
- Brew a strong cup of Velo Ethiopia Awash River and let it cool.
- In a shaker, add ice, rum, coffee liqueur, simple syrup, cocoa powder, and the coffee.
- Shake it up like a smooth jazz solo!
- Strain into a glass and garnish with cocoa powder.
2. Café Bebop
This cocktail brings some bebop flair to your night, with a lively mix of Velo's Morning Fixie. Its deep, nutty flavours pair perfectly with bourbon for an energetic, yet smooth, sip.
Ingredients:
- 45ml bourbon
- 30ml brewed Velo Morning Fixie Blend
- 15ml vanilla syrup
- Dash of bitters
- Ice
Instructions:
- Brew your Morning Fixie and let it chill.
- In a shaker, combine bourbon, vanilla syrup, bitters, and the cooled coffee.
- Shake and strain over a rocks glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with an orange peel for that finishing touch!
3. Smooth Jazz Martini
Nothing says smooth like Velo’s BMX in this sultry coffee martini. With its rich chocolate and almond notes, it's an absolute classic.
Ingredients:
- 30ml vodka
- 30ml brewed Velo BMX
- 15ml coffee liqueur
- 10ml simple syrup
- Ice
Instructions:
- Brew your Velo BMX and let it cool.
- Add vodka, coffee liqueur, simple syrup, and the coffee to a shaker with ice.
- Shake until well chilled and strain into a martini glass.
- Garnish with coffee beans, and voilà – smooth and classy!
