COFFEE FLAVOUR NOTES
The coffee has delicious flavours of milk chocolate, almond, shortbread and hints of orange. The medium body and acidity lends itself to a balanced and mild cup.
ORIGIN STORY
This wonderful multiple award winning coffee won Bronze and Silver at the Blas na hÉireann Food Awards 2020/2021 as well as 1 Star at Great Taste Award 2022/2023 & 2024.
It is grown by Fernando & Juan Aguilar from Las Mercedes & Santa Maria across 160 hectares of shade-rich nature on the north-eastern slope of the San Salvador Volcano. Las Mercedes and sister estate Santa Maria are surrounded by 100 hectares of nature reserve designated as a part of the Meso-American biological corridor, including a remarkable 'mini rainforest'. Given the importance of the perseveration of the forest, the Aguilar family, in conjunction with a local NGO, have two park rangers that look after the protected natural forest year-round.
The Aguilar family have been producing coffees here for the past 6 generations.

Only coffee you will every want again!
This single origin espresso is perfectly balanced to make any type of coffee you love.
If you use sugar in your coffee you’re using the wrong beans for your taste or are drinking poorly made coffee!

Disappointed - I have order this coffee 9 times before and latest bag is not the same
This was my favorite bag of coffee and have ordered it 9 times in the past (always the 700g bag).
The last order I received the taste has changed! There isn't much flavor to it like before. Not sure why, unless there was a mix up in the roasting/bagging process. I have one other unopened bag, if that is as before I will revisit this review and update accordingly
