Dalgona Coffee Recipe
Whip it real good!
One of the many coffee trends that became popular in the last year was whipped coffee! This coffee with its distinctive, fluffy topping might just become your favourite new caffeine kick! Whipped coffee, or Dalgona coffee, is a whipped, frothy coffee drink with your favourite Velo coffee and a few other simple ingredients! Let's whip it up!
- 2 ounces (4 tbsp.) of strong brewed Velo coffee (we used Velo Tandem!)
- 2 ounces (4 tbsp.) of white sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 mls.) of cold milk
Really, that's it!
Now, just a few simple steps and you'll have your frothy coffee! Start by combining your strong brewed coffee and sugar into a bowl and stir the mix thoroughly.
Once they are combined in the bowl, whip them together until fluffy! This is easier if done with an electric whisk, but have no fear, it can be done by hand as well! Be patient! This will take a few minutes for them to be fully whipped. You don't want to stop too early (the fluffier the better!) This step can take anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes, but the mixture should resemble a meringue when done!
Pour your cold milk into a glass (we suggest a clear glass so you can really see the layers!) Finally, scoop your whipped coffee into the glass so it sits on top of the cold milk!
