Ethiopia

Often referred to as the birthplace of coffee, holds a special place in the hearts of coffee aficionados around the globe! Renowned for its wild-growing coffee forests and centuries-old coffee traditions, Ethiopia produces some of the most complex and diverse coffees in the world. Ethiopian coffees are prized for their vibrant acidity, floral aromas, and fruity flavours, which are often reminiscent of berries, citrus, and jasmine. Our award-winning coffee from Ethiopia is a naturally processed coffee from smallholder farmers serviced by the river Awash in the Yirgacheffe region of southern Ethiopia. These farmers rely on the great river and its many tributaries to cultivate coffee and sustain their communities!

Kenya

Kenya's coffee industry is renowned for its strict quality standards and meticulous processing methods. With high altitudes, fertile soils, and abundant sunshine, Kenya produces coffees that are celebrated for their bright acidity, full body, and complex flavour profiles. Kenya Sasini Estate has delicious sweet flavours. The region has a long history of coffee production and is famous for its large estates.

DR Congo

Situated in the heart of the African continent, DR Congo's coffee industry is characterised by its rich volcanic soils, high altitudes, and lush rainforests, which provide the perfect environment for growing high-quality Arabica coffee. DR Congo coffees are known for their bright acidity, medium body, and unique flavour profiles, which often feature notes of chocolate, caramel, and stone fruits. Mikeno Mountain Kivu from DR Congo has notes of sweet raisins, milk chocolate and ripe, juicy summer fruits! This coffee comes from Katanda in the North Kivu region of DR Congo. For a coffee community such as Katanda, the economic situation has improved with value chain actors operating in the area to enable farmers to gain enhanced economic stability.
